How do tokens work?
Every query spends tokens from your account's shared pool: 1 token for a classic search, 2 tokens for a conversational AI answer (including follow-up questions) — answers cost more since they involve AI generation, not just retrieval.

What happens when I run out of tokens?
With automatic top-ups enabled, a top-up pack is added the moment you run out (capped at four per month, so costs can't run away). Without them, the assistant and search both pause until your next cycle.

Will it work with my theme or page builder?
Yes — the widgets are plain shortcodes with self-contained styling, so they drop into any theme, Elementor, Gutenberg, or classic pages, and inherit your site's font automatically.

Can I open the assistant from a button or menu link instead of embedding it on the page?
Yes — [aisca_ask_modal] and [aisca_search_modal] open the same widgets in a dialog instead. Wrap any text, icon, or image in the shortcode and it becomes the trigger; it can also be added to a WordPress menu item with no shortcode at all, just a CSS class.

Do I need a Google Cloud account or API keys?
No. We run the Google Vertex AI Search infrastructure for you. You install the plugin, paste the keys from your dashboard, and verify — no cloud consoles involved.

Can the AI make things up?
Answers are grounded: they're built only from your indexed pages and cite their sources. When your site doesn't cover a topic, the assistant says so instead of guessing.

Which content gets indexed?
Your public pages and posts. You can exclude specific posts, whole post types, or categories from answers in the plugin settings — changes apply instantly, no re-crawl needed.

How long does setup take?
Installing and connecting takes a few minutes. First-time indexing of your site typically completes within hours, and the dashboard shows progress along the way.

Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes — up to 50 websites per account (up to 3 during your free trial), each with its own index and settings. Your monthly token allowance is shared across all of them.

Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe and can be cancelled from your billing page in a couple of clicks; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
